The event has some great things for kids to get their hands into food as well as face painting. Grain and Humpty Dumpty breweries will be hosting the Local Beer Marquee where you will be able to try over 10 local beers from across the county. Bootiful! Schedule of events 10-10.45 Kids Pizza Making Roll out the dough, add vegetables, meat and cheese (if you prefer) and watch your kids have fun. With a bit of luck, they’ll be able to take home their creations and eat them. 11-11.45 The Game Season. Julian Stoyel from Houghton Hall will be discussing venison and game. It’s in season and Julian will show how to prepare and cook various game products such venison, pigeon and pheasant. 12-12.45 Indian Cuisine. Always a great food lover, Don Lear became known as 'The Bhaji Man' as he developed a reputation for his tasty onion bhajis. Watch and then taste his creations. 1-1.45 The Lavender House. John Barnard will be showing off his skills butchering a lamb and highlighting where all the various cuts come from. At the same time Richard Hughes, from the award winning restaurant The Lavender House will be cooking a delicious lamb dish. What a treat! 2-2.45 Baking Bread with Norman Olley from North Elmham Bakery Baker Norman Olley has been baking bread for the surrounding countryside for 30 years. All of the breads are made from a traditional recipe winning many awards and many fans including Rick Stein who named the baker as one of his Food Heroes. 3-3.45 Sausage Making with John Kenny from Happy Hogs Sausage making activities for the kids. John from Happy Hogs was the winner on ITV1's 'Britain's Best Dish', cooking with his own Happy Hogs pork.
